Verizon’s New Phone Isn’t An iPhone?
Published by Tech Spoofs | Filed under Eli Sandavol's Product Pit
Recently, we managed get a hold of the as yet released MOTORAZR(2) V9m. After hours of grueling testing, putting everything from the external, touch-sensitive keys to the V-CAST capabilities through their paces we have come to a single conclusion.
I think Senior Product Testing Czar, Eli Sandavol put it best, “What the hell, this isn’t an iPhone?”

No, it isn’t. I am not sure what Verizon is trying to pull but the MOTORAZR is not an iPhone. It’s not an iPhone clone nor does it even attempt to emulate the iPhones sexy curves. We were unable to find any reference either in the hardware or the accompanying documentation that the MOTORAZR is designed in any way to take advantage of the incredible popularity of Apple’s newest killer app.
From Eli,
“We tried really hard to find a reason to care about this phone, but after about ten hours of testing I found out that I couldn’t even watch YouTube on the stupid thing.
Oh yea, and where is the iPod, might I ask? If Verizon was going to release a piece of trash like this, the least they could do is charge less than $299 for it. Who cares about better network quality when you can’t drag anything. The next time they give me crap like this to review, I’m setting fire to the building — I swear it.”
We haven’t heard from Eli recently, and he refused to publish his story but we hear that he is busy upgrading the firmware on his iPhone.
